1-Complete the sentences:
-
Since I became a mom, I never leave the house without … my phone and my lipstick, as always, but since I became a mom and started breastfeeding, I also never leave without breast pads.
-
The strangest place I've breastfed my baby is … in the car, in a parking lot at a shopping center in Vigo. Noah was starving, and the three of us stayed inside.
-
I haven't slept 6 hours straight since then. ... months... although Noah sleeps really well, honestly. We are very lucky in that regard—he sleeps a minimum of 10 hours straight.
-
Besides the changing table, the place where I have changed the most diapers is … en tu carrito o en mi cama.
2- Do you ever pretend to be asleep so your partner will get up?
No, he does it himself! Hahaha. Besides, I’ve even caught him laughing quietly and everything.
3-What three things have you learned about yourself since becoming a mom?
That I have a lot of patience, in general, in my life—much more than I had before. The importance that family now has for me, more than ever. And the unconditional love you feel for a little person who has come from you, from your womb, is something wonderful—the most beautiful thing that has happened to me and will happen to me in life.
4-What are the most Google searches you've made since becoming a mother?
Breast pads, a nasal aspirator for babies, costumes for babies, sensory toys for babies... etc.
5- How has your refrigerator changed since you became a mother?
Honestly, it’s stayed the same—only now I have even less time to eat.
6- What golden advice would you give to a friend who is pregnant for the first time?
Live and savor every moment to the fullest, because it is the most wonderful thing that will ever happen to you. And I truly realize that what they've always told me is so true: with them, time flies.
7-How do you imagine this first Christmas with your baby?
Well, I think it’s going to be the most beautiful and special one of my life. Christmas is also my favorite time of the year, and I have quite a “girl’s” spirit, so I can’t wait to live every moment intensely with him.
8- Will Santa Claus and the Three Wise Men come loaded with toys this Christmas, even if your months-old baby doesn't realize?
Sure. Toys that he can use now, or that we’ll save for a few months from now. But most of all, we’ll ask them for practical things like some decoration for his room, appliances, clothes (they grow super fast!), etc.
9-How has your way of celebrating Christmas changed since you became a mom?
Well, it’s the first year, so I don’t know yet, but I think it will be aligned with what I mentioned earlier: living it happily and intensely with Noah, family, and the people I love most.
10-What are your wishes for 2022?
Health for everyone—so necessary this year. And, very importantly, more love among all of us and less hate; if we achieved that, it would be a different story.
