Sissi with baby bump: 34th to 35th week of pregnancy
Share
In Winter 2018, our LILLYDOO midwife Sissi Rasche is expecting her third child! Despite her expertise in pregnancy, these nine months with a baby in the belly remain simply magical for Sissi. And the best part: she takes you along on her exciting journey! Every two weeks, she provides an update on her pregnancy in our LILLYDOO magazine and shares her very personal experiences with you. In addition to five consistent questions about the current state of affairs, Sissi answers a special additional question in each column. We wish you lots of fun accompanying Sissi with her (growing) baby bump in the coming months!
1. What is your current waist circumference?
In the past two weeks, my waist circumference has only increased by one centimeter. I currently have a circumference of 96 centimeters.
2. How are you feeling right now?
I am currently feeling a bit stressed. This is also because everything is happening in quick succession: last week, I assisted with my final birth as a midwife before I have my own baby. It probably looked quite funny with the two baby bumps in the delivery room, because by now I am truly unmistakably pregnant. ;) The birth went well, and now it’s time for me to make the final preparations for my own delivery – and of course for the baby. I still feel a little nostalgic that my pregnancy will be over so soon.
3. WAS SAGT DIR DEIN KÖRPER?
I currently feel really good in my body. In the past few weeks, I have also and that feels good to me. I have even regained more energy during exercise recently. I can still sleep without any problems. Although I occasionally experience , but overall I feel fit.
4. What cravings are you currently experiencing?
The cravings for certain things are especially strong at the beginning of pregnancy. Unfortunately, I can no longer provide any new answers here, so we will also remove this question from our repertoire for the future. ;)
5. What was your most beautiful moment?
My most beautiful moment this time stretched over an entire long weekend: My husband invited me to a in Nice, giving me a wonderful break. We had the opportunity to completely unwind and enjoy the time together. I plan to breastfeed for at least a year, and since the baby will be almost always close to me, we appreciated our togetherness even more in the past few days.
You have chosen a family birth – How do you prepare your children for it?
My children already know a lot about childbirth through my work as a midwife. In fact, I have also shown them one or two births – including the birth of our own daughter, whom we welcomed at that time. We also talk a lot and read various books that prepare children . However, it is absolutely clear to us that our children can also decide freely and spontaneously whether they want to be present at the birth or not. If they prefer to withdraw, that is completely fine with us, after all, everyone should feel comfortable. I always recommend to my clients planning a family birth to have a support person on site. We handle it the same way: a good friend will take care of my children if needed during the birth.
