Besides size, the fit of the diaper is also an important factor to prevent leaks. Especially when your little explorer moves around a lot at night or is a side sleeper, proper diapering is very important. If you fasten it too loosely, it will leak – that's obvious. But a diaper that is too tightly fastened can also leak: if the diaper cuts into the legs, the leak protection doesn't work properly. If you can slide two fingers between the diaper waistband and the baby’s belly and the leak protection at the legs sits loosely and doesn't twist, the diaper fits perfectly and nothing should leak even when lying on the side.

Inappropriate wrapping rhythm

No matter how absorbent and well-fitting the diaper is: if your baby wears it for too long, it will eventually leak. Therefore, pay close attention to how often your little explorer needs a new diaper. To prevent leaks during the night, you can change it again at the appropriate time before bedtime.

Leak protection does not work

On the leg cuffs of each LILLYDOO diaper, you will find a leak guard. This should be unfolded and then sit like a ruffle on the baby's leg.
