Since 1970, every April 22nd has been celebrated as Earth Day . It’s a day to raise awareness about the importance of caring for our planet Earth and promoting harmony with nature.
When we were looking for our brand ambassador, we knew she had to be someone who shared our values, as well as our love and respect for the planet. Today, we can proudly say that in Isabel Jiménez, we have found that and more. The journalist not only respects the environment, but also strives to protect it and instill these values in her two children, Hugo and Dani.
I thought about what I could do with my tools, and that’s when I decided to write a book on sustainability, focused mainly on the world of plastics, to raise awareness of how unnecessary single-use plastics are.
In this episode, Isabel shares that her motivation for environmental sustainability came from her love for the sea and nature. But the data we’ve received about what is happening on the planet also prompted her to make a lifestyle change and start writing her book, "¿Y tú qué harías por salvar al planeta?", a journalistic essay that raises awareness about plastic consumption and motivates us to seek alternatives for a greener future. In her case, one of her actions to care for the environment is switching to the line of since its launch. And with young children, choosing an eco-friendly version of baby care is a great first step toward leaving them a planet worth living on.
"Always look for the most sustainable alternative. In the case of LILLYDOO, when they launched the green line, it was the greatest discovery for me because, after all, many diapers are used with little ones, and having a brand that has taken the effort to create a sustainable line seemed wonderful and a great commitment."
The journalist has also shared her thoughts about her surroundings, which not only understand and respect her decision to live more sustainably, but also support her in any way they can. “The message is resonating, and people are worried about the future and about the planet we are going to leave to our children.”
And you, will you join us in building a greener future? Enjoy the episode!
