Your Week-by-Week Guide to Pregnancy

Are you pregnant? Congratulations! Along with the anticipation of your baby, you might also feel excited—and you probably have plenty of questions. With our pregnancy calendar, we want to accompany you through this special time and answer your most important questions. Here, you’ll also learn week by week how your body is changing, how your baby is developing, and you’ll receive practical tips from our LILLYDOO gynecologist, Christian, and our midwife, Sissi.

1st Trimester

In the 1st trimester, a lot happens in your body: hormones quickly shift everything into “pregnancy mode,” and you may start to notice the first symptoms. You might be dealing with emotional ups and downs, mood swings, nausea, and physical discomfort. As unpleasant as it can be, these changes are a sign that a little person is developing inside you. Toward the end of the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, nausea and other symptoms often ease, and your baby will already have reached many important developmental milestones.

2nd Trimester

Hello, 2nd trimester. Your pregnancy is becoming harder to hide, and your baby bump will grow significantly in the coming weeks. Soon, you’ll be able to feel your baby’s first movements, and your partner will likely find the pregnancy more tangible, too. If you’d like, you can find out your child’s gender during the 2nd trimester.
